Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has reportedly rejected an offer from Manchester United.
It is understood United made contact with Eriksen's representatives over a potential move.
However, according to journalist Tom McDermott, the Danish playmaker has given a clear “no" to the proposal.
He added that United are having trouble recruiting players without the lure of Champions League football.
McDermott tweeted: "Told that #MUFC did ask about Christian Eriksen but it was a “no" from the Dane and his team.
"Spain is his first choice, but Solskjaer's problem is attracting players.
"Elite level would prefer a Champions League club. Even the “next best" have reservations."
Real Madrid and Barcelona are both reportedly interested in the 27-year-old.
