Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle believes this season's Champions League campaign will decide the Arsenal futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Hoddle wrote for the Mail on Sunday: "Arsenal's repeated failure in this competition under Arsene Wenger since they competed in the final in 2006 and the semi-finals in 2009 is more than a curiosity now.

"It is becoming a threat to keeping their best players.

"Ozil and Sanchez have yet to commit to new deals with the Gunners. No doubt they will wait to see if Arsenal can compete rather than just make up the numbers in the knock-out stages before they decide where their future lies."
