Tottenham Hotspur have joined Arsenal in the race to secure the services of Eibar centre-back Florian Lejeune, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Lejeune joined Eibar from Manchester City over the summer for around only £1.3million and since joining the Spanish side, the Frenchman has been able to establish himself as one of the best defenders in La Liga this season.

The 25-year-old's fine performances is said to have caught the attention of Arsenal and now it has been claimed that their North London rials Spurs have entered the race to sign the defender who is believed to have a £8.7million release clause in his contract at Eibar.
