Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker hinted former manager Andre Villas-Boas' was complicating the team's football.

Walker says the players prefer Tim Sherwood's back-to-basics approach.

"Bringing it back to basics - it probably needed to be done," he said.

"In theory it was good (Under Andre Villas-Boas).

"We didn't concede many, we went on a good clean-sheet run and as a defender that was positive. But we weren't scoring."
