Tottenham are surprise frontrunners to sign Philippe Coutinho.

Arsenal have been the latest team to be linked with the Barcelona outcast.

The Blaugrana are willing to allow Coutinho leave on loan this season.

Sky Sports claim Spurs have overtaken their local rivals and are in pole position to sign the former Liverpool midfielder.

Coutinho has already worked under Mauricio Pochettino, in a six-month loan spell at Espanyol in 2012.
