Young Boys' 'English' fullback Scott Sutter is in line to play for Switzerland against his home country this week.

Playing against Spurs, the club he supported as a kid, at the beginning of the season brought Sutter to the attention of fans in this country.

A White Hart Lane season ticket holder at the age of 10, he said: "The games with Spurs put me on the radar in England. People suddenly realised there was another English-born player playing abroad.

"Of course I would have loved to have kept myself available to play for England but it didn't look like happening, so there was no way I could turn down this opportunity to play for Switzerland."
