Spurs, Everton target Remy not leaving, insists Nice

Nice have denied a move to Lyon for striker Loic Remy.

Remy is also admired in England by the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal.

Nice released a statement on their website, www.ogcnice.com, insisting they are keeping hold of the France forward who is under contract until 2012.

It read: "Following the announcement "Remy is returning to Lyon" which appeared in L'Equipe today, Nice have to highlight the following: Apart from Lyon, several big European clubs have contacted Nice these past few weeks for the transfer of Loic Remy. Nice simply and categorically refused any negotiations, refusing even to speak about it.

"Nice have clearly stated their position, by official means and several times: Loic Remy is untransferable.

"Looking to the future, the club bought the player for a record sum of 8 million euros barely a year ago. So it is unthinkable, illogical and immoral to sell him today."
