Spurs chairman Levy ready to try again for Corinthians striker Pato

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is ready to try again for Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato in January. The Daily Star says fresh reports in Brazil now claim a second Spurs deal for Pato could be done in the future, following the news the club president Mario Gobbi, was unhappy with the Seleção star after a recent defeat where he missed a penalty.

"Clearly the duck hit it badly, but the blame is not his alone. We know he can give more.

"Those who can't give more, we have to change," added Gobbi.

Tottenham worked with Corinthians recently in signing Paulinho for £17m.

Pato confirmed Tottenham's summer interest earlier this season.
