Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood admits he steamed into his players at halftime ahead of their comeback for victory over Southampton.
Christian Eriksen revealed after the match that a half-time "speech" buoyed the players on and it sounds like Sherwood may have used a few expletives to gee his side up.
"I can't tell you everything - it wasn't pretty," Sherwood said.
"It wasn't ranting and raving, it was considered and it was measured what I had to say to them.
"I wanted to play a high-tempo game and press them high up the field and I didn't think we had the energy to do it.
"It was quite evident and I think the European midweek games take their toll. We always seem to finish very well but we don't start the games very well.
"Against a good side like Southampton, you're going to get punished and 2-0 down after 28 minutes I was dreading coming to the press conference, chaps, I have to tell you."
