Spurs boss Pochettino excited about ‘big’ Arsenal derby

Mauricio Pochettino has highlighted the importance of Tottenham Hotspur's clash with Arsenal this coming weekend.

Fresh from beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night, Pochettino cast his thoughts immediately on Sunday's North London derby against the Gunners which could be the final match of its kind at the current White Hart Lane site.

A win for Spurs would also see them avoid finishing below their local rivals for the first time since 1995.

"It was good to get the three points and be alive in the race for the title," Pochettino told Sky Sports.

"The challenge is to keep going. It is always better to win but it is true [the Arsenal game] is a big derby, perhaps the last at White Hart Lane.

"It's important to be calm, try to recover, and to be ready to compete on Sunday.

"I think it will be an exciting game."
