Spurs boss Mourinho ponders Clarke options as Fulham, WBA keen

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho won't rush a decision over the future of Jack Clarke.

The London Evening Standard says Mourinho is willing to give teenager Clarke a chance to win a place in his Spurs squad, amid interest from newly-promoted Fulham and West Brom.

Clarke, 19, spent an unhappy season on loan at former club Leeds and QPR, making just 10 appearances in total, but Spurs believe the winger was not given a proper chance to impress last term.

Mourinho wants more competition in his front four and is therefore set to run the rule over Clarke in pre-season before deciding if he will spend another year out on loan.

The youngster is most likely to return to the Championship but play-off winners Fulham expressed an interest before sealing promotion last night, while West Brom could also make a move if Grady Diangrana, who spent the season on loan at the Hawthorns, returns to West Ham.
