Heung-min Son is on his way back to Tottenham.

South Korea suffered a shock Asian Cup defeat to Qatar.

Spurs had expected to be without key forward Son until the second week of February due to his involvement in the competition.

But South Korea were on the end of a major upset as they suffered a 1-0 quarter-final loss to the 2022 World Cup hopes today.

And that means Son will now be able to return earlier than expected to Tottenham at a time when then the club has been hit by a series of injuries.
