Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas is exploring the prospect of re-signing Adrien Silva from Leicester City.
The Foxes midfielder has spent this season on-loan with AS Monaco, though the Ligue Une outfit have no interest in signing him permanently.
Instead, reports O Jogo, Varandas is hoping to strike a deal to bring Silva back to Sporting for next season.
Leicester are aiming to recoup the €24.5m they paid for Silva - a figure Sporting cannot afford to meet.
Further complicating matters is Silva's €5m salary is also out of reach of the Lisbon giants.
