Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes has agreed personal terms with Tottenham.

The Mirror says the Portuguese midfielder and his agent are believed to have reached an agreement with the North London club, according to journalist Goncalo Lopes.

Lopes reported on Twitter that Spurs are yet to confirm a fee for Fernandes however, with their last offer of £55 million falling short of Sporting's valuation.

Sporting are said to be demanding at least £65m to part with Fernandes, leaving Spurs and United now locked in a bidding war to land the 24-year-old.

It was reported earlier on Tuesday that Fernandes' agent had agreed terms for his client with United over a proposed move following discussions.
