Sporting CP drop Fernandes price in effort to bring Man Utd back to table

Sporting CP are dropping their price for Bruno Fernandes in an effort to bring Manchester United back to the negotiating table.'

The Portuguese midfielder's proposed move to Old Trafford collapsed last week as Sporting Lisbon refused to lower their £68million valuation.

But the deal for the 25-year-old has now been resurrected after Sporting — desperate for cash — begged to come back to the negotiating table, says The Sun.

The Red Devils have offered £42.5m up front for the 19-cap Portugal star, with £8.5m in potential add-ons.

But a figure of around £60m is now likely to be enough to get the deal over the line

Fernandes has featured in Sporting's last two games as negotiations rumble on amid reports the playmaker is fuming at the hold-up.
