Sporting CP coach Silas has explained holding back Yannick Bolasie.

The on-loan Everton winger has found himself frozen out by Silas in recent games.

The coach explained, "Our options are based on performance in training, in the game and in commitment. These are three important factors for us.

"Bolasie has not been called up in the last two games, but that does not mean that he is not in the next call. There have been many games where there wasn't Rafael (Rafa) Camacho and (Gonzalo) Plata and there was Bolasie. We don't have to look at the situation that way.

"We like them all, but we can't take them all. We can only take seven (on the bench) and we have to choose between 25."
