Sponsors pull back from Man Utd talks amid Super League backlash

Manchester United saw potential sponsors pull back from negotiations amid the Super League backlash.

The Manchester Evening News says mounting pressure from supporters saw potential sponsors pull out of talks over deals because they did not want to be associated with the breakaway.

United are currently seeking out a new sponsor for their state-of-the-art training ground.

Aon, who have held the naming rights as part of an eight-year contract, see their deal for Carrington expire in the summer.

United chiefs are also looking to secure a new automobile sponsor with a separation from Chevrolet at the end of this season, as well as a new training kit sponsor.

Old Trafford chiefs have already announced Team Viewer as their new shirt sponsor, replacing Chevrolet for the 2021-22 season.

Chevrolet have sponsored United for the last seven seasons.
