Spezia coach Thiago Motta admitted frustration after their 1-1 draw with Genoa.

Spezia had the lead through Ebrima Colley until Domenico Criscito converted a penalty for Genoa with five minutes left on the clock.

“There are many regrets, because we didn't make the most of our scoring opportunities and failed to kill the game," Thiago Motta told Sky Italia.

“I am nonetheless confident in seeing this kind of attitude from my team. This is a performance that will nonetheless boost our self-esteem.

“The first half was tactically a stalemate and Genoa defended very well."

Motta was pleased for Colley, adding: “I am pleased he scored, as he is a wonderful professional and deserves all of this."
