Spartak Moscow ready to end Markovic's Liverpool nightmare

It appears Liverpool attacker Lazar Markovic will finally get his wish, and leave the Anfield club.

It has been a miserable few years for Markovic, and it does not look likely that he will ever be a part of the first team picture under manager Jurgen Klopp.

When the youngster was signed, many Liverpool fans hoped that he would develop into a top player.

However, that development has not arrived. Now 23, Markovic wants to leave for regular first team football.

Spartak Moscow are the club that are interested in his services, and a deal should be done before the January transfer window closes.

He cost Liverpool £20 million to sign in 2014, but he has not even appeared for them since 2015. He only managed 3 goals in 34 appearances.
