Spain U21 coach Santi Denia admits he planned to call up Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic today

The teen has just announced his season is over due to a leg injury. Bajcetic also qualifies for Serbia internationally.

Denia said: “He was on the pre-list. He has had a problem and was going to join us. He is an important player. He has been tracked.

"The same for Mateo Joseph."

Mateo Joseph is currently with Leeds United.

On Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga, he added: "For the moment I see him here on Monday. He's been before.

"Let's talk about the present. I am delighted with him. Both Luis (de la Fuente) and I have followed him very closely. His level is high. Luis knows them much better."
