Spain cruise to 5-0 victory over Romania

Spain cruised to a 5-0 victory over Romania in their final Euro 2020 qualifier.

In addition to Gerard Moreno's brace, Fabian Ruiz and Mikel Oyarzabal got their names on the scoresheet, along with a Romanian own goal.

Spain boss Robert Moreno made a raft of changes from the team that defeated Malta last Friday. Kepa came in for Pau Lopez in goal, while Sergio Ramos was the lone holdover in defence, with Dani Carvajal, Inigo Martinez and Jose Gaya filling out the back four.

Villarreal veteran Santi Cazorla also received a second straight cap in midfield and was joined by Sergio Busquets, Saul and Fabian, while Alvaro Morata and Moreno kept their places up top.

The performance capped an impressive qualifying campaign from La Roja, with a nearly perfect record of eight wins and two draws in the group.
