Spain chief admits they're working on Real Mallorca's Argentine superkid Luka Romero

The Spanish Federation (RFEF) have made a move for Real Mallorca superkid Luka Romero.

The 15 year-old Argentine made his LaLiga debut for Mallorca last season and has been likened to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi. Romero qualifies internationally for Argentina, Spain and Mexico.

RFEF chief Miquel Bestard confirmed: "I know that they (his family) want him to play for Argentina. It is an issue that has to be worked on, although we have the advantage that he is here (in Mallorca)."

Romero was born in Durango (Mexico), has a Spanish passport and played for Argentina in the last South American U15 championship.

He recently stated: "My whole family is Argentine; my dream is to wear the national jersey."
