Southgate says Spurs striker Kane on track for Euros

England manager Gareth Southgate says Harry Kane is 'on schedule' to return from injury before Euro2020.

The Tottenham striker has been sidelined since suffering a ruptured tendon against Southampton on New Year's Day.

Jose Mourinho stated last week that Kane could return ahead of schedule, but that is news to Southgate.

"As far as I am concerned he's on schedule, with all the information that we've had we know that he is progressing well," he told Sky Sports News.

"He'll give himself the best chance of being fit by following everything to the absolute letter.

"I am not surprised by that news and of course it is good to hear."
