England manager Gareth Southgate couldn't have been happier for Phil Foden after the Manchester City scored twice in the 4-0 win over Iceland on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old was sent home from the England camp, along with Mason Greenwood, in September after violating strict COVID-19 rules.
Asked about Foden, Southgate replied: "Really, really pleased for him. He's such an exciting player. It was a big week for him to come back, it's not easy to walk through the door after the way he left previously but for us it was done.
"We know what he's capable of today and to get the two goals was a glimpse for everyone for what he is capable of."
