Southend United boss Phil Brown has denied reports linking him to the assistant manager role under Sam Allardyce at Sunderland.
Brown has previously worked under Allardyce at Bolton Wanderers and is being heavily linked with a move to the Stadium of Light to reunite with the former West Ham United boss.
However, the ex-Hull City manager told the Southend Echo that he has no immediate plans to leave Roots Hall:
"Yes, there will be speculation," he said.
"Sunderland are my home-town team but I'm Southend United manager, end of story."
