Southend United boss Phil Brown is "flattered" by talk of moving to Sunderland.
Brown has been linked with the No2 job at Sunderland after good friend Sam Allardyce took the manager's post.
Brown told talkSPORT: “It's flattering when you get involved in media talk and a little bit of speculation with regards to moving.
“But I started this job two-and-a-half years ago and I'm still here.
“We're certainly in a better position than where we were as a football club when I first arrived and, as you could see today, the team is certainly playing football for me.
“So long may that continue."
