Southampton are lining up a sensational swoop for Juventus icon Alessandro del Piero. La Gazzetta dello Sport says Southampton have made an audacious bid for Del Piero.
They have proposed a two-year contract worth 1m per season, plus performance-related bonuses.
Del Piero is mulling over where to play this season and is also in talks with Switzerland's Sion.
