Southampton have tabled a bid for Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulman.

Lecce are reluctant to lose the Dane, 23.

However, Sky Italia says Saints have offered €11m for Hjulman, with Lecce yet to respond.

With Lecce giving themselves a chance of Serie A safety there is a reluctance from the board to give up Hjulman this month.

The midfielder has a deal to 2025.
