Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini wants to return to Italy this month.
The Mirror says Gabbiadini wants to quit the south coast and return to old club Bologna.
Gabbiadini, 26, only joined Saints from Fiorentina this time last year in a £14m deal.
But the Italian international has grown frustrated at a lack of playing time since Mauricio Pellegrino replaced the sacked Claude Puel as manager in the summer.
Gabbiadini has only started nine Premier League games this season.
Saints could be willing to offload Gabbiadini if they can agree a deal with Monaco for Argentine front-man Guido Carrillo.
