Southampton striker Sam Gallagher is a wanted man.

According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Derby County have held initial talks with the Saints over a loan deal.

The 21-year old spent last season on loan at Blackburn where he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances.

Gallagher recently signed a four-year contract extension with Southampton, but he has not featured for Mauricio Pellegrino's side this season and the club are willing to let him go to gain more first-team experience.
