Southampton attacker Manolo Gabbiadini scored late in Italy's 5-0 romp of minnows Liechtenstein.
Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne opened the scoring after 35 minutes before Manchester United target Andrea Belotti made it 2-0.
Eder and Federico Bernadeschi added two more goals before Gabbiadini closed out the win in injury time.
The 25-year old finished superbly when he latched onto Leonardo Spinazzola's square ball.
The win keeps Italy equal with Spain on 16 points in Group G.
