Southampton have joined the battle for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

Saints are looking to get value from the sale of Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool.

The Mirror says Southampton are among a queue of Premier League clubs tracking Dembele.

Celtic may allow Dembele, 21, to leave in January for more than £20m but the French starlet is likely to wait to see what clubs come in as Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain have looked in the past.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton is also lining up a bid for the striker.
