Southampton are being linked with a sensational move for Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The Daily Echo says Saints boss Ronald Koeman has been linked with his former Ajax midfielder Sneijder.

Koeman gave Sneijder has Ajax debut in 2002 prior to the player going on to star for Real Madrid and Inter.

Sneijder is currently at Galatasaray but is rumoured to be keen to leave Turkey during next month's January transfer window.

It is believed Galatasaray would consider selling the 30-year-old in a bid to ease their financial problems.
