Southampton plan summer bid for Juventus striker Quagliarella

Southampton are preparing a summer bid for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella.

The Daily Star says Saints want the 31-year-old to replace Italy team-mate Dani Osvaldo who is currently on loan at Juve after a training ground bust-up at St Mary's.

Quagliarella - who has 25 caps - has been restricted to only 16 appearances for Juve this season, scoring three goals.

Osvaldo was shipped out after head butting teammate Jose Fonte in training.
