Southampton have been watching Genk fullback Joakim Maehle this season.

Saints are expected to bid for the U21 Denmark international over the summer after scouts delivered glowing reports on the defender.

Maehle is also interesting West Ham.

The 22 year-old has been with Genk for three years, arriving in 2017 from AaB.

Maehle's deal with the Belgians runs to 2023.
