Southampton have moved to open new contract talks with Ryan Bertrand.
The Daily Mail says Southampton are planning contract talks with Bertrand amid mounting interest in the defender from Leicester.
Bertrand, 30, has just one year left on his contract and Southampton are keen to extend his stay at St Mary's.
Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl last week outlined his reluctance to let players go without a fee or run their contracts into a final year.
Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers' interest will represent a dilemma for Bertrand when negotiations begin as Leicester will be able to offer the carrot of European football next season and perhaps in the Champions League should they retain their top four place.
