Southampton are ready to offer new terms to Jay Rodriguez.

The Sun says the 25-year-old ruptured knee ligaments against Manchester City at the tail-end of last season and has not featured since, only returning to training in recent weeks.

Having lost a number of players of their best players last summer, the Saints are determined to keep hold of Rodriguez and will offer him a five-year deal.

Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool are all being linked with the England striker.
