Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse says Danny Ings' form is a positive from a poor start to the season.

In defeat to Chelsea last week, Ings continued his impressive run in front of goal, with Ward-Prowse complimenting the striker's efforts.

“He is doing well," said the 24-year-old.

“You can see from some of the goals he has scored this season the work-rate he gives us which really sets the tone for the way we play.

“He's deserved the goals and I am sure with his quality and his work-rate that plenty more goals will come for him."
