Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has confirmed that he has passed his medicals ahead of a proposed move to Tottenham.

The 25-year-old added that he is approaching a 'new dawn' with Tottenham as he gets set to complete his £11million move from the Saints.

"I am indeed elated at passing my medicals at Tottenham. It is a new dawn in my career and I believe I will give my best for my new team," said Wanyama.

"I want to thank Southampton management and fans for the exceptional time we had together.

"I will always have a fond place for them in my heart."
