Southampton midfielder Romeu: Players have felt Hasenhuttl changes

Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu says the players have felt the changes made by manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Saints meet Brighton with a victory putting some daylight between them and the relegation zone.

Romeu told the Mirror: “The manager is passionate during the game, says the right things in training, behaving as a leader just as it should be.

“He's changed some of the basics, things like off the pitch, making sure we had a good bond between the players. In training, being strict, being professional and working tactically, lots of video analysis. Not just collectively, but also individually.

“Those things have made the difference, because we know our roles, we don't change the way we play if we win or lose. In the last couple of years, we've struggled because we didn't know what was happening whereas now the ideas are more clear."
