Southampton's media team have offered assistance to Bournemouth after yesterday's 9-0 defeat at Liverpool.

Southampton previously suffered defeats by the same scoreline, against Leicester in 2019 and Manchester United in 2021.

The Saints took to social made to make fun of their south-coast rivals.

In reply to Bournemouth's full-time tweet, they responded: "DM us if you need to talk, Bournemouth."

That was posted alongside the iconic Spider-Man meme, with both club badges pasted over the Webslinger's faces.
