Southampton could pay up to £14 million for Birmingham star Che Adams.
The Daily Telegraph indicates that Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to add the striker to his squad as they mount a challenge on moving up the Premier League table next season.
And it appears that signing the 22-year-old, who was the Birmingham player of the year and top scorer, will take close to £15 million.
Southampton had a £10 million bid rejected for him in January.
After signing Moussa Djenepo, Adams is the next target on the priority list of Saints boss Hasenhuttl.
The Austrian wants most transfers done before pre-season begins in July.
