Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy hailed their character shown for last night's 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
The result was earned after the dismissal of Jannick Vestergaard.
McCarthy said, "It's massive. Obviously going into the game results haven't been great for us but to get a point with 10 men was an unbelievable effort from the lads.
"It's always hard when you go a man down, especially so early on. We had to soak it up in the second half. Unbelievable effort, I'm buzzing for the team."
On the red card decision, he added: "It looked like [Jannik Vestergaard] got the ball first but might have followed through on [Jamie Vardy]. It was hard to see but I thought it was a little bit harsh. I thought I was getting to the ball so I'm not sure about [it denying a goalscoring opportunity]."
