Southampton are very eager to bring Liverpool midfielder Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain back to the club.

The Englishman departed the Saints a decade ago when he joined Arsenal.

He subsequently signed for Liverpool, winning the Premier League and Champions League with the Reds.

According to talkSPORT, the Saints are exploring the possibility of loaning Oxlade-Chamberlain for the upcoming Premier League season.

The 27-year-old does have a contract with the Reds until 2023, but he may want to move on loan for regular game time.

The Ox only managed 13 Premier League appearances last term.
