Southampton are interested in Watford captain Troy Deeney.

The Mirror says Southampton have joined the race to sign Deeney.

They are one of three Premier League sides keen on signing Deeney before the transfer window shuts on Friday.

He has barely featured for the Hornets this term, and looks set to be offered the chance to make an immediate return to the highest level.
