Southampton could face FA action after two plastic bottles were seen launched onto the pitch during defeat to Liverpool.

As Jordan Henderson celebrated Liverpool's third goal in a 3-1 win at St Mary's, Alisson could be seen picking up two plastic bottles.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was standing at the Chapel Stand, which is full of home supporters, reports The Sun.

Away fans sit in the Itchen Stand, at the other end of the ground.

Neither bottle hit Alisson but the goalkeeper noticed they landed close to him.

He picked them up and placed them in the goal.
