Southampton defender Yan Valery says the Tenerife training camp has been good for him.
He was part of the squad that made the trip to the Spanish island this week, as Ralph Hasenhüttl took his players away for some intensive work both on and off the pitch.
"It was hard," said the 19-year-old. "We worked hard on the pitch and also outside – we had some meetings with the coach, some individual meetings and some videos to see what we have done good but also what we have done that was not so good.
"I've learned a few things from that. It was a hard week, and I think we need it for the next game against Arsenal."
