Southampton defender Jan Bednarek has reportedly taken an injection to ensure he will be available for Poland during the international break.

Bednarek suffered a rib injury in a 3-3 draw with Tottenham, with the club appearing to believe they are fractured.

However, Polish reports now state that Bednarek was cleared by their doctors and will likely join up with the squad.

Per Sport.PL, new Polish boss Fernando Santos did provide an update on Bednarek during his press conference.

Saints fans will be hoping Bednarek does not further damage himself, which may leave him out for the rest of the Premier League season.
