Southampton are closing on a deal for VFL Bochum centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap.
The Daily Mail says Bella-Kotchap is on the verge of becoming Southampton's third summer signing, with the club hoping to finalise his signing for a fee in the region of £10m in the next 48 hours.
Talks over a four-year contract with the player's agents are now being finalised. There is an insistence on a buyout clause being included in the deal.
Bella-Kotchap is a Germany U21 international and made his debut for Bochum at 17 in 2019.
The Paris-born 20 year-old will follow goalkeepers Gavin Bazunu and Mateusz Lis to St Mary's as new arrival this summer.
