Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse admitted some relief after their FA Cup win at Swansea City.
Saints edged a 5-goal thriller 2-3 on the day.
Ward-Prowse said, "It was tough.
"We had a really good start, we got ahead with a well-taken goal but the sending off changed the game and we had to adapt.
"Credit to the lads, everyone stuck in against a good team. We rode our luck but I think we deserved the win. This is a competition we want to do well in."
